Learning to Communicate with Visual Language
In a world so filled with visual media, the ability to understand and to communicate with effective visual syntax is more critical than ever. Digital media and illustration should be a basic form of literacy for every student, on the same educational level as writing a good essay or giving an effective presentation.
My philosophy is to empower students with the basics of visual communication, with the tools of good storytelling, and with the magic of making emotional meaning.
I build upon these by crafting opportunities for students to solve actual problems for businesses, for expressing plans and products, and for reaching targeted audiences. I want every student to think and to see the world as an entrepreneur. Such innovators constantly identify areas for new ideas, new solutions, and new stories that others can readily interpret and comprehend.
